Brontes is made by Vulcan Technologies for one trade: structural steel fabrication. Everything in it is built to match how a real shop actually runs a job, not how a generic project-management tool happens to be shaped.

Why "Vulcan"

Vulcan is the Roman god of fire and the forge -- the same fire and electricity that runs a real fabrication shop's welding, cutting, and heat-treating floor every day. It's the name behind this product because that's the world this software is actually built for: mills, shapes, cut lists, station timers, and steel that has to physically move from a bid to a bolt-up. Every design choice in Brontes starts from that floor, not from a generic SaaS template.

Why steel fabrication needed its own software

Most small-to-mid structural steel fabricators run their business across tools that were never built for the trade: a horizontal CRM bent sideways for sales, a spreadsheet for estimating, another spreadsheet for the cut list, a shared drive for drawings, and a whiteboard for the shop floor. None of them share data, so the same job gets re-entered five times and nobody has one place to see where a piece actually stands. The category leader in this space, Tekla PowerFab, proves the depth this trade actually needs is real -- routes, stations, work packages, per-piece tracking -- but it's sold as a quote-gated enterprise contract that's realistically out of reach for a lot of smaller shops on cost and sales-process grounds alone.

Brontes exists to close that gap: real Tekla-PowerFab-level depth for the shops that opaque, quote-gated pricing shuts out today.

What we build toward

Every module in this product is built and used, not designed on a whiteboard and left half-finished. When a real shop-floor workflow doesn't fit the software, the software changes -- not the other way around. That's why the system is organized around the same stages a job actually moves through (bid, estimate, project, shop, ship) instead of a generic set of CRUD screens, and why depth gets added module by module, grounded in a real fabricator's real day, rather than spread thin across features nobody asked for.
